“The world today is a more complex one - it moves faster and life’s pressures can be ever-present. I would like our guests to experience a place that takes them back to another lifetime – one filled with old-world charm. To feel like Mount William Station is their home-away-from-home, their Estate for a moment in time and a place to create new life chapters with those most special.” – William Abbott

Originally founded in 1842, and rebuilt in 1920 after fire destroyed the original homestead, an invitation to stay at Mount William Station was highly sought after. Positioned at the foothills of the majestic Grampians National Park, the Homestead became the spectacular backdrop to many great stories in Victoria’s rich pastoral history, and many social gatherings were held. Where morning tea was served with the ringing of the bell at 10am, afternoons were spent playing lawn tennis or strolling through the immaculate rose garden before an aperitif was enjoyed in the Rhino Room.

Mount William Station now invites guests to take a step-back-in-time with the Homestead’s beautiful old-world charm and unique traditions retained, complemented with a luxuriously modern upgrade. This very special place has provided a peaceful sanctuary to William’s family for over a century and now provides a spectacular backdrop for romantic getaways that are like no other and for family and friends to gather and write their own stories that will be passed down from generation to generation.
